Buyer Beware!!!

While I love the idea of this app, Alternote MODIFIES your Evernote notes without your consent!

In Evernote, I use emoji in the titles of certain notes, as a way to highlight them. When I launch Alternote, those notes initially appear just as I entered them (with the emoji). But within a second or two, all of the emoji then DISAPPEAR from every note — and there’s NO WAY TO GET THEM BACK! Surely enough, when I then launch Evernote and it syncs, it thinks the titles were changed intentionally, and so the characters are then removed FOREVER. I’ve since had to manually restore the titles on dozens and dozens of notes — and I cannot even launch Alternote, because each time I do so, it irrevocably CHANGES my notes!

How INSANE that an app that purportedly syncs with Evernote would actually MODIFY our notes — without our consent and with NO way to undo or recover the changes that were made!

BEWARE!!! Alternote is SERIOUSLY flawed — and for my purposes is UNUSABLE.
