A lot of potential here

Alternote is a good compromise between heavier applications like Evernote and lighter ones like Byword or iA Writer. It feels quite close to the ideal balance between functionality and simplicity, so its potential is quite exciting. However, as others have mentioned, there are some bugs and there is room for improvement.

I’ve noticed two things:
- When using fullscreen mode, opening the Preferences window opens another fullscreen window.
- Markdown handling is too aggressive. The beauty of markdown is adding formatting while KEEPING the special characters visible. I’d love that option.
