What the evernote desktop Mac client should have been all along

I’ve been using Alternote since the beta and am very please with the development. The product is stable and it provides a great front end for Evernote. I use it to write my first drafts in and have written as much as 2,300 words in a document with no problems at all. I like the distraction free mode and the real time word count. I’d like to see it add writing session capabilities like the old WriteRoom did. Basically allow me to start and stop a session and tell me how many words and how much time I’ve spent in that session. Not a deal breaker but would be nice to have. Otherwise, the product is progressing well and it is what the evernote desktop Mac client should have been all along.
